New York, SANA-Syria’s permanent representative to the UN, Ambassador Bassam Sabbagh, said Monday that the US is still adhered to its hostile approach and subversive policies towards Syria by using all tools of war against it.
Sabbagh, commenting on a statement by US Ambassador, said that the people of Syria, who have resisted the huge war machine, will not allow anyone to impose any conditions or dictations on them.
The statement issued by the US Ambassador to the United Nations, Linda Greenfield, on the 15th of March is nothing but a repetition of what the officials of successive US administrations have been doing over the past 11 years, all of a common denominator that is a detached from reality, a wrong description of events, giving fabricated information with the aim of misleading the public opinion.
He added that over the 11 years, Washington has insisted on its hostile approach and subversive policies towards Syria.
Sabbagh said that Greenfield’s expression of concern about the humanitarian situation in Syria completely contradicts her country’s imposition of illegal coercive measures on the Syrian people.
He stressed that it is hypocritical for the Washington delegate to express concern about the “plight of the Syrians”, while at the same time her country is supporting a terrorist separatist militia that is causing a big crisis for the people in Syrian al-Jazeera, in addition to its theft of Syrian national resources .
