Terrorist mortar attack causes minimal material damage to Russian Embassy premises in Damascus

Damascus, SANA – Takfiri terrorist organizations on Wednesday targeted with a mortar shell the building of the Russian Embassy in Damascus.

A source at the Russian Embassy told SANA that a mortar shell fell on the roof of Consular Section of the embassy, causing negligible material damage, adding that no casualties among the embassy’s staff were reported.

The source added that the embassy continues to perform its usual works normally.

In November 2013, the Russian Embassy was targeted by terrorists’ mortar shells which caused slight damage to the building of the embassy.
