Damascus, SANA_ President Bashar al-Assad on Sunday issued the legislative decree No. 7 for 2015 on granting SYP 4000 living compensation on monthly salaries for all state employees.
The increase is exempted from any deductions as it will be added to the monthly salaries of all the civilian and military employees and retirees and the annual contractors.
The decree will be put into force next February.
PM al-Halqi: Decree will improve citizens’ living conditions
Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halqi affirmed in a statement to SANA that the decree comes in the framework of improving citizens’ living conditions as it targets all state and private sector’s employees.
“We are moving in the right direction through delivering aid to people who need it,” PM al-Halqi added.
He pointed out that during current challenges that gave rise to mounting corruption, monopoly, smuggling and waste, rationalizing aid will help put its output to good use.
