Workshop on food industry at Syrian pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai

Dubai, SANA- Commercial section staff at the Syrian pavilion in Expo 2020 Dubai have organized a workshop about the food industries.

The workshop was attended by representatives of Boland, Cuba, Mexico pavilions and Foreign Direct Investment(FDI) in Dubai, with the aim of founding joint programs contributing to attracting the direct investment and developing to give the opportunity for the participants to support the Syrian economy.

The workshop also witnessed the participation of some Syrian firms, with each one giving a presentation about its products offered in the markets in addition to their plans for exporting and selling them at the Emirati market.

Commenting on the workshop, the commercial coordinator of the private sector at Syria’s pavilion, Munaf Arnous, said that food industry is one of the oldest ones known by humanity due to the urgent need for food, referring to the high quality of the food materials in Syria and their fame ,such as oil ,flour, and the sweets that are still so famous that they were named “Chami sweets” in some other counties.

Arnous added that Expo 2020 Dubai allowed the national companies whose products are of high quality and competition to join and market their products and get acquainted to the raw materials and equipment encompassed at the exhibition, along with updating their information about the technical developments in the world of food industry and packaging.

In a relevant context, a senior Emirati delegation, headed by Sheikh Mussalam Salem al-Ameri, member of the National Consultative Council of Abu Dhabi visited the Syrian pavilion.
