Syria, China discuss means to enhance joint cooperation at Expo 2020 Dubai

Dubai, SANA- Means to enhance joint cooperation between Syria and China were the main points of discussion between Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Mohammad Samer al-Khalil and Zhang Shenfeng, Commissioner General of China Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

That came during a visit paid by Minister al-Khalil to the Chinese Pavilion at the Expo on Sunday.

China is the largest strategic trade partner, and Syria encourages Chinese companies to make investments in it, Minister al-Khalil said.

He highly appreciated the distinguished relations with China, underlining the importance of cooperation in all domains whether on the governmental or private levels.

Al-Khalil thanked China for standing by Syria and for providing humanitarian aid, in addition to the training courses from which many of the state employees have benefited.

Shenfeng, for his part, highlighted the deep-rooted cooperation between the two countries, underlining the necessity of enhancing trade and investment between them.

Syria is a key partner and China cooperates with it in all domains, Shenfeng said, expressing hope to enhance cooperation and expand partnership between the two countries.

The Chinese pavilion at the Expo includes technology and artificial intelligence, and we hope to cooperate in this field, he said.

The Syrian delegation also visited the Lebanese pavilion at the expo and they met Lebanese Tourism Minister Walid Nassar.

Minister of Economy and Foriegn Trade also visited the Belarusian pavilion and he met Head of the Pavilion Svetlana Pashchenko, in addition to visiting the Malaysian pavilion and meeting its head Michelle Lau Sook Yee and heads of foreign trade, export support and entrepreneurship bodies in Malaysia with the aim of strengthening joint cooperation between the two countries.
