Damascus, SANA- -Iranian Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Head of the Iranian-Syrian Joint Economic Committee, Mohammad Eslami discussed with Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Talal Al-Barazi, the standing economic cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries and means of developing and enhancing this cooperation in the face of the coercive economic measures imposed on the two countries.
Talks during the meeting dealt with the necessity of speeding up the implementation of agreements signed between the two sides, applying them in a tangible way, and creating new conditions that ensure moving forward to establish joint projects in Syria that contribute to providing job opportunities, achieving additional resources, and improving the economic and production situation.
Minister Eslami called for activating the principle of trade-off goods to facilitate the movement of between the two countries and to achieve the process of safe and rapid transportation of goods by activating the land line for transport and establishing factories for the automobile industry in Syria and the production of mineral water and car batteries.
In turn, Minister Barazi affirmed Syria’s keenness to establish and implement what was realized and agreed upon with the Iranian side, especially with regard to the work of the Ministry of Internal Trade and to take new steps that enhance confidence between the two parties that would implement and establish projects to serve the process of joint work.
