Syria second with 10 medals at Lebanon Judo Championship

Damascus, SANA – Syria finished second in the overall medal count with 10 medals at Lebanon International Judo Championship, which wrapped up on Sunday in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

The medals won included three golds, four silvers and three bronzes.

Players Mohammad Akkash, Fadi Darwish, Mohannad Sham, Sameh Ramadan, Adnan Khankan, Mohammad Ghassan Heiba and Sibai Hajj Idris were the Syrian team’s male participants.

Female players were Sandra Da’as, Nadia Assaf and Noura Mansour.

Haitham Habib coached the team.

Besides Syria, teams of Jordan, Iraq, Cyprus and Lebanon, the hosting country, took part in the Championship.
