Beirut, SANA- Free Patriotic Movement leader, Lebanese MP Gebran Bassil, affirmed that the strong relation with Syria is a national interest for Lebanon.
Bassil said in a speech on Sunday that “The strong and solid relation between Lebanon and Syria serves Lebanon’s interest in the economic, financial and social domains, and it also serves Lebanon politically and in terms of supporting the Lebanese army.”
Bassil added that “the Lebanese people support the real, just, comprehensive and permanent peace in the region, based on the restoration of rights,” adding that there will be no peace if the Palestinian people do not establish their state, and if the refugees don’t return to their land.
