Temperatures to drop, showers expected

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will continue to drop to become around average as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by northern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be generally clear to partly cloudy with a little opportunity for showers over the southern region, while at night the weather will be cold, warning against fog and frost in the early morning over the mountains and in parts of the northern and al-Jazeera regions.

The wind will be of changeable direction to northeasterly with a low to moderate speed, while the sea waves will be low in height.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 6/14, Daraa 5/15, Homs4/12, Hasaka 3/12, Tartous 11/18, Aleppo 7/12, Idleb 4/11, Deir Ezzor 7/14
