Riyadh, SANA- Foreign and Expatriates Minister Bassam Sabbagh discussed Saturday with his Sudanese counterpart Ali Yousef relations between Syria and Sudan and means to boost them in various areas.
This came during the sidelines of preparatory meeting of foreign ministers for a joint Arab-Islamic follow-up summit in Riyadh.
The two sides discussed the dangerous situations in the region resulting from the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and Lebanon and its repercussions on the countries of the region, including Syria.
Sabbagh said that the Israeli acts of aggression on Syria have not stopped since the beginning of the aggression against the Palestinians on October 7,2023.
He indicated the efforts of the Syrian government to facilitate the reception of thousands of Syrian and Lebanese arrivals as a result of the Israeli aggression on various areas in the brotherly Lebanon.
The Sudanese FM said that his country looks forward to work with Syria together to upgrade the relations to a level that reflects the historical fraternal ones binding the two countries.
He stressed his country’s support for the efforts made to stop the Israeli aggression against the countries of the region.
