Ambassador of Pakistan hands over Lattakia Governorate a gift to support citizens affected by fires

Lattakia, SANA- Lattakia Governorate received on Wednesday a gift from the Pakistani International School in Damascus.

The gift was presented by Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Damascus, Saeed Muhammad Khan, after a campaign launched at the school in cooperation with the educational and administrative staff and under supervision from the Pakistani embassy to stand by citizens affected by the fires.

The gift included school disks, chairs, clothing, food and stationery requirements, in addition to an amount of five million Syrian pounds that was deposited in the account of the relief committee collected by the school students to express their support for their counterpart of students at Lattakia schools after the fires that broke out in the governorate countryside.

while receiving the gift, Governor of Lattakia, Ibrahim Khader Al-Salem, stressed that the Pakistan has always stood by Syria and its rights, especially during the terrorist war that was launched against it, adding that this initiative reflects the depth of relations and friendship and amity that connect the two peoples and countries.

Ambassador Khan, for his part, stressed that his country’s government gives great importance to the distinguished relations and fraternity with Syria and it always seeks to strengthen the bonds of cooperation and relations between the two peoples and the governments.

He added that with the outbreak of fires in the governorate countryside, there was immediate directives from the Pakistani government to provide what “we can do to ease the impacts of the fires on those affected.
