EU demands Israeli occupation stop demolishing Palestinian houses

Brussels, SANA- The European Union (EU) called upon the Israeli occupation authorities to stop demolishing Palestinian houses, stressing that continuing these practices undermines any chance for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

EU spokesman Peter Santo said in a statement Thursday that Israel has demolished more than 70 houses this week in Khirbet Homsa al-Fawqa, north of al-Aghwar in the West Bank, calling on the occupation authorities to stop demolishing the Palestinian houses and properties and seizing their lands.

Santo indicated that 52 Palestinian schools are now threatened to be demolished, stressing the need to ensure the right of children to learn in a safe school environment, as education is a basic human right which should be protected and preserved.
