Daraa, SANA-With the aim of beautifying the entrance of al- Taybeh town in Daraa countryside, and improving the environmental reality, official and popular activities on Wednesday carried out an afforestation campaign at the entrance of the town.
In a statement to SANA, Head of the town’s Council Maria al-Zoubi noted that the afforestation campaign which covered an area of 2 kilometers was the fruit of the cooperation with the local society.
Mahmoud al-Zoubi, owner of a greenhouse in al-Taybeh town said that the first stage of the afforestation campaign included the town’s entrance, while the next stage will include the afforestation of the schools and the public square, noting that he donated about one thousand saplings from his greenhouse.
Mohammad Qassem al-Zoubi, one of the participants in the campaign, expressed thanks to all the activities which participated in the afforestation campaign at the entrance of the town from the western direction.
He stressed that planting forest trees is a civilized work to restore the botanical cover to the town.
Meanwhile, two students who participated in the voluntary afforestation campaign, affirmed that the campaign comes to beautify the entrance of the town’s entrance and to improve the environmental reality.
