Damascus, SANA – The Culture Ministry and its directorates and departments across the country dedicated the celebrations of the 56th anniversary for establishing the Ministry to marking the Syrian Day for National Reconciliation.
The main celebration was held in Al-Assad House for Culture and Arts in Damascus, where Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi opened an art exhibition, followed by the opening of the cinema corner at the Opera House lobby and a concert by the Selhi al-Wadi Institute student orchestra.
During the event, al-Halaqi said that this activity reflects the current state of recovery in the country and Syria’s imminent victory over terrorism, lauding the Culture Ministry’s role across the past decades, and particularly during the past four years which saw attempts to distort and invade Syria’s culture.
Other activities on this occasion included debates seminar and lectures at Culture Directorates and cultural centers in Homs, Aleppo, Sweida, Hama, Tartous, Daraa, Lattakia, and Deir Ezzor provinces.
The activities also included an art exhibition at the Hama Culture Directorate featuring the works of 30 artists, an art exhibition at the Tartous branch of Plastic Artists Union featuring 55 pieces by over 30 artists, and assorted activities at the Idleb Cultural Center.
