Disinfection campaign in streets and neighborhoods of Damascus, Photos

Damascus, SANA_ Damascus Governorate, in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC), on Friday launched a large-scale disinfection and cleaning campaign through cars equipped with disinfectants as part of precautionary measures to deal with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and maintain public health.

The campaign started from the center of Yusuf al-Azmeh square and covers all the streets and neighborhoods of the city.

Damascus Governor Adel al-Olabi stated that the campaign includes strict health measures to deal with the Coronavirus.

The governor called upon citizens to commit and act responsibly and not underestimate action to prevent the virus spread.

Director of the Department of Water and Rehabilitation in (SARC), Firas Firas, said that 50 volunteers and workers participate in the sterilization through portable devices and the organization will launch similar campaign in all the provinces in the coming days.
