Ankara, SANA- A brawl broke out in Turkey’s parliament on Wednesday during tense discussions over the Turkish regime’s aggression and provocative interventions in Syria, and over sending its army to fight in Idleb Province.
The Associated Press mentioned that the clash started shortly after Engin Ozkoc of the opposition Republican People’s Party took the rostrum and criticized Erdogan.
Ozkoc described Erdogan as “dishonorable, ignoble, low and treacherous,” adding that Erdogan has sent the children of Turkey’s people to fight while his own offspring avoided long-term military service, which means that he doesn’t respect the Turkish soldiers who have been killed in Syria.
Video images showed dozens of MPs from President of the Turkish regime Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s party and from the main opposition party pushing each other. In the video, some are seen throwing punches while others try to pull the brawling legislators apart.
Some parliamentarians fell to the ground during the fray, Turkey’s Haberturk television reported.
Tensions have escalated inside Turkey after the killing of dozens of Turkish soldiers on Syrian soil, while the units of the Syrian Arab Army are responding to attacks by terrorist groups which receive a direct support by the Turkish regime forces in the direction of Saraqeb in Idleb southeastern countryside and inflicted heavy losses of personnel and equipment.
