Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop to become around average or slightly lower as the country is affected by a superficial low air pressure accompanied by relatively cold and wet southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy and the rainfalls will be heavy sometimes, particularly over the coastal and the northern regions and snow will fall over the mountains whose height exceeds 1400 meters.
The wind will be southeasterly with a low to moderate speed and the sea waves will be low to medium in height.
The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 14/5, Daraa 15/5, Homs 13/4, Lattakia 24/12, Aleppo 8/4 and Deir Ezzor 16/7.
