UN warns Idleb, Afghanistan largest hotbeds of foreign terrorists

New York, SANA- After Syria has frequently warned against global terrorism epidemic which it is combating on its territories on behalf of the whole world, many international reports came to prove its righteousness and to warn of the dangers and threats posed by terrorism in Syria to the whole world.

In this framework ,the UN published a report on its website by the Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team which is affiliated to the Security Council which revealed that Idleb City and Afghanistan are considered the largest hotbeds of terrorists who are mostly linked to al-Qaeda terrorist organization.

The terrorist groups which spread in Idleb province and some areas in Hama northern countryside are mostly affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra and the “Turkistani Party” and other terrorist organizations which embrace foreign mercenaries who have sneaked from the Turkish territories as the regime of Recep Tayyip Erdogan has transformed Turkey into a center and a corridor for the passage of tens of thousands of terrorists to Syria backed by some Western and Gulf states.

The report indicated that Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization still has ” a lot of power in terms of the finance, terrorist expertise and mortal experience,” as it still poses the most dangerous threat to the international security.

The report added that despite of the military defeat of Daesh terrorist organization and the collapse of the so-called “caliphate” in Syria and Iraq, yet it continues to work on reestablishing sleeper cells to launch attacks in other states.

It warned against the growth of the phenomenon of international terrorism and that the world might witness a new wave of attacks in different states ” as when Daesh will have the time and opportunity to rebuild its ability to launch external operations, it will conduct terrorist attacks in other states and this might happen before the end of the year 2019.”

The report expressed the UN’s concerns over the fact that about 30 thousand foreign terrorists have joined Daesh terrorist organization and who are believed to be still alive and that they continue their activities .

It noted that according to estimations based on the data of the intelligences of different states, at least two thousand extremists have returned to Europe which poses a threat to the security of the continent which is still facing a notable threat due to the high level of extremism in the prisons and the release of some extremists who have returned to the old continent from the “hotspots” as well as the ineffectiveness of the their rehabilitation programs.

The report also warned of the possibility of the increase in the number of states in the African continent which are facing the danger of terrorism in light of the cooperation between Daesh and al-Qaeda terrorists in the coastal area and in western Africa with the aim of toppling the local governments.

Over the past years, the world has been witnessing increased warnings against the dangers of terrorism which has been backed, financed and armed by some Western states, on top the US, Britain and France in cooperation with their regional allies such as the regime of Erdogan, the Saudi regime and the Qatari regime with the aim of targeting Syria and the region.

In the same context, the US president has renewed his threats to his allies in Europe to release the European Daesh terrorists to Europe unless they are received by their countries of origin in a way that reveals the link between the terrorist organization and Washington, which has long used terrorism as a tool for implementing its agendas and schemes.
