Daraa, SANA_ The Bosra al-Sham Department of Antiquities in Daraa governorate has completed documentation of the damages caused to the old city due to the terrorist attacks.
The department also prepared studies for some of the necessary works inside the castle to improve situation of the historical city and restore it.
Head of the Antiquities Department Alaa al-Salah said in a statement to SANA that the Antiquities Department has performed two projects; the first one is to restore the arch between the fourth and fifth towers by removing the rubble and installing gates .
The second project, he added, is to fill the excavations in the old city in preparation for receiving visitors in all areas and providing the best services for them.
Al-Salah explained that the department’s plan in the field of restoration starts from the castle and the theater, since all visits start from them, clarifying that Bosra al-Sham city contains 45 archaeological sites inside and outside the old city.
Since the return of security and stability to the city, several visits have been made by tourist delegations as artistic events organized on its theater .
