Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet on Tuesday passed a number of bills, including one amending regulations for registering and licensing diesel vehicles, one on regulating the trade and production of biochemical products, one on the regulations of highschool diploma exams, and one on transporting cotton outside administrative borders.
During the session, which was chaired by Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi, the Ministers reviewed a number of administrative, services, economic, and development issues, with al-Halaqi reviewing the Cabinet’s activities during the past week and calling for monitoring transport fees and prices, asserting that petroleum products are available in the market.
Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem briefed the Cabinet on the latest political developments on the international arena, while Finance Minister Ismael Ismael reviewed the results of the meetings held by the Syrian-Russian Permanent Committee for Economic, Commercial, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation in the Russian city of Sochi.
