Antalya, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that US President Donald Trump’s proclamation on the occupied Syrian Golan is a blatant violation of international law and destabilizes the region.
Lavrov ‘s remarks came during a press conference with his Turkish counterpart Mouloud Gawish Oglu on Friday.
Lavrov affirmed the need for finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria on the basis of UN Security Council resolution No. 2254.
Lavrov pointed out to the critical situation in Idleb province due to the spread of terrorists there, stressing need for applying Sochi Agreement on Idleb and the elimination of terrorism in Syria completely.
He called on the international community to support the efforts for finding a political solution to the crisis in Syria and abstaining from hindering the return of the Syrian refugees home, pointing out that the Syrian government has created the convenient circumstances for that.
