Mohammad Khaled al-Mohammad wins silver in javelin throw at Asian Paralympics

Seoul, SANA – Syrian athlete Mohammad Khaled al-Mohammad a silver medal in the javelin throw competition in the Asian Second Paralympics held in the city of Incheon in South Korea as part of the 2014 Asian Para Games.

Al-Mohammad won the medal with a throw of 40.8 meters, earning his second medal in the competition following the gold medal in shot put he won on Sunday.

This brings the total of medals won by Syrian athletes in this event to five, with Rasha al-Sheikh winning a silver medal and Shadi Issa and Noura Baddour winning bronze medals in weightlifting.

The Incheon Paralympics are held with the participation of 4,500 athletes from 41 countries competing in 23 different sports events. The vent will conclude on Thursday.
