Daraa, SANA- Teams of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC)-Daraa Branch on Monday delivered food aid to Jassem city and Barqa town in the northwestern countryside of Daraa in framework of the humanitarian response plan which the Branch works on implementing.
Chairman of SARC Branch in Daraa Dr. Ahmed al-Masalmieh told SANA that SARC teams delivered 9 thousand food baskets to Jassem City and 400 food basket to Barqa town, adding that flour will be delivered later.
Al-Masalmieh indicated that this aid is provided by the World Food Program (WFP), adding the SARC Branch in Daraa is working on implementing a work plan that covers 25 towns and villages in Daraa countryside.
The Syrian Government is keen on providing humanitarian aid to all citizens in different areas, in addition to providing all the required facilitations to guarantee the delivery of aid to all the citizens affected by the terrorist war waged against Syria.
The process of delivering aid is done in cooperation with the UN and the Red Cross Organization.
