Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hamoudeh Sabbagh affirmed the deep-rooted relations binding the two brotherly peoples of Syria and Jordan.
Sabbagh’s remarks came during a meeting with a delegation from the Jordanian Bar Association (JBA), headed by JBA President Mazen Irsheidat on Thursday.
Sabbagh said that priorities today are given to the continuation of combating terrorism, facilitation of the return of the displaced Syrians to their home, and the reconstruction of what has been destroyed by terrorists.
He pointed out to the key role of the bar association and the men of law in carrying out their responsibilities to punish those who shed the Syrian blood and take legal action against the terrorists and their supporters.
For his part, Irsheidat said that the delegation’s visit came in the wake of re-opening Nassib border crossing with Jordan, congratulating Syria’s army, people and leadership on victory over terrorism.
