Damascus, SANA – Syrian and Russian businessmen put the final touches to their preparations for their second forum scheduled to be held within the 60th edition of Damascus International Fair.
The 2nd Syrian-Russian Businessmen Forum will be held with the participation of 70 Russian companies and many Syrian companies.
Speaking about the Forum, Head of Syrian-Russian Businessmen Council Samir Hasan said that the Forum will be attended by a delegation of Russian businessmen led by Russian Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry and a number of Russian economic officials as well as world-renowned Russian companies.
Hasan stressed the need to enhance Russian-Syrian work, especially in the stage of reconstruction as the Russian companies will have the priority in order to take advantage of their expertise in the field of oil and gas, railways, infrastructure, electricity, heavy industries, housing, and tourism, among others.
He expected that the upcoming Forum will highlight cooperation between companies and businessmen in the two countries as it will contribute to determining the role that can be played by the private capital in the two countries and the investment opportunities available in Syria.
Hassan said that a road map for cooperation will be created in light of the Forum’s outcomes which will also facilitate cooperation between businessmen to establish real and major projects.
