Daraa, SANA – Upon directives from President Bashar al-Assad, a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Imad Khamis visited Daraa province to devise a realistic vision for restoring services and invest in its economic and human resources.
The delegation, which includes eight ministers, met with official and popular figures and heads of services department, and decided to set up a organizational plan for the province within 6 months, rehabilitate schools and cultural centers, launch media and development activities, and devise a plan for rehabilitating the agricultural sector.
The delegation affirmed the government’s commitment to providing the necessary legislations, loans, and marketing procedures for the province.
The delegation also voiced commitment to restoring all services to all areas, including schools, health centers, bread production plants, water, electricity, communications, and police stations.
Premier Khamis said the government is determined to erase the effects of war and revive the production process in the province that achieves optimal investment of agricultural areas and industries.
The delegation visited the National Hospital and listened to the patients’ demands and opinions about the services provided there and the availability of medicines and treatments.
Later, the delegation visited the new Government House building in Daraa that is currently under construction, in addition to visiting a military unit operating in the area.
