Homs, SANA-The Syrian army’s engineering units continued combing the villages and towns of Homs northern countryside to pave the way for the return of the locals to their normal lives in the aftermath of eradicating terrorism in the area.
SANA’s war correspondent in Homs said the engineering units found in al-Houla area on Monday scores of IEDs and mines, many of which they dismantled, while the remaining ones were detonated in unpopulated areas.
Homs northern countryside was declared free of terrorism on May 16 after terrorists capitulated and those among them who were adamant to engage in national reconciliation surrendered their weapons and ammunition and were evacuated to northern Syria.
