Syria participates in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad (APIO)

Damascus, SANA – Syria took part in the Asia-Pacific Informatics Olympiad organized by Russia with the participation of over 50 countries.

The Syrian team includes 15 members representing centers from Damascus, Aleppo, Lattakia and Homs.

APIO is a five-hour online contest to solve different questions of varying difficulty.

Chairman of the Commission of Distinction and Innovation Imad al-Azb stressed that Syria’s participation came in line with the Commission’s strategy to further develop scientific excellence and creativity and strengthen Syria’s presence in international competitions, indicating that results to be announced within a month.
