Damascus, SANA – Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry handed over on Monday 450 industrial facilities to their owners at al-Qadam industrial complex in Damascus.
Head of the Chamber, Samer al-Dibs, told SANA that the government spent billions of Syrian pounds in order to rehabilitate the infrastructure of the liberated industrial zones to help the industrialists set the wheels of production in motion.
Al-Dibs asserted that the industrialists in al-Qadam are expected to resume their work in their facilities within a maximum period of six months with a possibility of providing owners with the needed funding.
Damascus Governorate will start within days the process of removing debris and rubble from the area to facilitate access to all shops and facilities, and providing the necessary services, al-Dibs stated.
“After that, specialized committees will visit the area to assess the scale of damage and the compensations should be paid to the facilities’ owners.”
