Moscow, SANA-The Russian Ministry of Defense announced Thursday that it may decrease the number of its military forces working in Syria in light of Sochi summit statement and the great victories achieved in the war against terrorism.
“Obviously, after military tasks, and there are just a few of them left, are completely fulfilled, the commander-in-chief will take a decision to cut the task force,” Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, General Valery Gerasimov, told reporters.
General Gerasimov revealed that Hmeimim Air base and the supply facility in the province of Tartus alongside the Russian Coordination Center will be maintained.
