Moscow, SANA- The Syrian Cycling team for juniors and youth won five medals, including two gold, two silver and one bronze) in Sochi championship in Russia.
Cyclists Mustafa Abdel-Qader and Osama Sbahi won the two gold medals in the category of juniors, while cyclists Amir Halabi and Wahab Najar won the silver medals and Bilal Lahlah won the bronze
medal in the youth category competitions.
In a related context, Syrian Cycling team will participate in the 2017 UCI Road World Championships which are scheduled to be held in
Norway on Friday.
Chairman of the Syrian Arab Cycling Federation (SACF) Mohammad Khedur told SANA that Syria’s participation in these Championships is a real opportunity for consolidating the Syrian presence in international sport of cycling, mainly after that Syria has won many medals during European competitions held recently.
