Hazem Nao qualifies for semifinals of India ITF Juniors 2 Championships

New Delhi, SANA – Hazem Nao of the Syrian national Under-18 tennis team qualified to the semifinals of singles and doubles competitions within the India ITF Juniors 2 Championships.

In the singles competition, Nao beat Indian player Karan Srivastava, while in the doubles Nao and his partner Yu Hao Chen from China Taipei won over an Indian doubles team.

In a statement to SANA sports reporter, member of the Tennis Union Wassim Zeiniyeh said if Nao will make it through to the finals, he will have his position in the rankings of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) improved as he will enter the world’s top 100 tennis players list.

Last Monday, Nao advanced to the 125 place internationally, the best in Syria’s history, and was ranked first among Arab countries.
