Tehran, SANA- The crisis in Syria and the situation in the entire region were the focus of talks between Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, Hussein Jaberi Ansari’s and Mikhail Bogdanov, the Russian President’s Special Envoy for the Middle East and Africa.
During a meeting held in Tehran, Jaberi Ansari said that what is going on in Aleppo is the determination of the Syrian legitimate government to take control over all territories, stressing the need for resuming the intra-Syrian talks in Geneva.
For his part, Bogdanov said that Russian Foreign Minister and his US counterpart agreed to meet in Geneva after few days to discuss the situation in Aleppo and means to get gunmen out of the city.
Bogdanov added that he informed the Iranian side about the US proposals on settling the crisis in Syria.
