Russian Defense Ministry’s spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said that terrorists shelled a Russian mobile hospital in Aleppo and as a result of a direct hit on the hospital, one Russian military paramedic was killed and two staff members were badly wounded, adding that a number of locals who were being tended to by the Russian medics were also injured.

Later, Konashenkov announced that another medic passed away after succumbing to injuries sustained during the attack, noting that doctors did their best to save her but her injuries were too severe.

He asserted that the responsibility for this attack lies on terrorists’ patrons from the US, UK, France, and their sympathizers, adding “we know who provided the militants with information on the Russian hospital and its exact coordinates.”

Later, terrorists shelled the site of the hospital again while a team of journalists were documenting the attack, injuring journalist Somar Abu Diab, who works as an interpreter for the RT news team, as a piece of shrapnel from a shell’s fuse was embedded in his leg.

Russian Su-33 skids off aircraft carrier in Mediterranean

The Russian Defense Ministry also announced that a Russian fighter crashed in the Mediterranean Sea due to a failed landing on the Admiral Kuznetsov aircraft carrier opposite the Syrian coast two days ago.

“While landing after completing a combat task in the Syrian sky, a Su-33 fighter jet skidded off the dock because the cable of arresting device broke. The pilot ejected and was immediately brought aboard the Admiral Kuznetsov heavy aircraft carrier by rescuers. His life is not in danger,” the ministry said on Monday.

“The ship-based aviation continues its flights in accordance with its tasks,” the Ministry confirmed.
