Putin, Merkel call for unifying efforts to apply cessation of hostilities in Syria

Moscow, SANA-Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Angela Merkel affirmed on Thursday the need for unifying efforts to apply terms of the cessation of hostilities according to the US-Russian agreement.

“President Putin, in a telephone call with Merkel, reiterated the importance of Washington’s commitment to its obligations to separate between the opposition and terrorists in Syria,” Russia Today quoted the Kremlin as saying, adding that Russia will continue its efforts to realize a steady agreement of cessation of hostilities and improve the humanitarian situation.
