Damascus, SANA – Members of Syrian Chambers of Commerce Federation and Damascus Chamber of Commerce discussed on Monday with a delegation from FEARAB Brasil organization cooperation between Syria and Brazil and means to develop it.
Chairman of the Damascus Chamber of Commerce Ghassan al-Qala’a affirmed the importance of enhancing cooperation between Syria and Brazil in trade and economic sectors to overcome the effects of the sanctions imposed by the United States, the European Union, and some Arab countries on Syria, noting the role of the organization in opening new fields of cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Ammar al-Bardan the Deputy Chairman of the Chamber called for increasing the trade exchange between the two countries, pointing to the large potentials of the Syrian ports and their readiness to receive all products.
In turn, the head of the delegation Aziz Jarjour pointed out that the visit aims at emphasizing the organization’s supportive stance towards the Syrian people, and to be informed about their needs and what the organization can offer for them during the current crisis.
The members of the delegation noted to what the organization had provided medical and humanitarian aid, stressing that much could be gained through hard work to overcome the obstacles facing any future cooperation.
