Provinces, SANA- The Syrian Army on Monday continued heavy military operations against terrorist groups across the country, mainly in Aleppo, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.
Aleppo
Army units, in cooperation with the allied forces, advanced in Project 1070 south of Aleppo and restored control on 25 building blocks after killing a large number of terrorists.
Earlier, dozens of terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Fateh” were either killed or injured in raids of the Syrian army air force on their positions to the south and west of Aleppo city.
A military source told SANA that the Syrian army air force carried out concentrated strikes against gatherings and positions of the terrorist organizations to the south and west of Aleppo and destroyed a number of the armored and machinegun-equipped vehicles and cars loaded with ammunition, killing scores of terrorists in the surroundings of the military academies, Kafar Hamra, Khan al-Asal, Ma’rata, Khan Touman, Talat Bazo, and to the south of Dahret Um al-Qari’a.
On the other side, the terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages that many terrorists were killed including what they call “tank officer in Ahrar al-Sham Movement” Saif Allah and the military official in “Sham Front” of Aleppo area Shams-Eddin, in addition to eight others from the so-called “Liwa al-Fatiheen”.
Daraa
An army unit destroyed a den of terrorists in the northwestern part of al-Naziheen Camp in Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa province.
A military source said that an army special task force destroyed, in a precise operation, a command center and a gathering for terrorist groups east of al-Yadouda town in Daraa countryside.
Homs
A unit of the Syrian Arab army on Sunday killed 14 members of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in the surrounding area of Talbeiseh city in the northern countryside of Homs province.
SANA reporter said that the army unit destroyed Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ headquarters, hotbeds and vehicles equipped with machineguns.
Terrorists Mohammed Saleh al-Abbas and Taher al-Omar , the self-claimed leaders, were identified among the dead.
Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the death of a number of their members during the operation, including Ahmad Hwairi, Mohammed Abdul-Sattar Dalla, and Mustafa and Khuder Najieh.
Sweida
An Army and Armed Forces unit confronted terrorist groups that were trying to attack a military point in Waqam village in the northwestern countryside of Sweida province.
A military source told SANA that an army unit clashed with terrorist groups who infiltrated from al-Lujat area towards one of the military points in Waqam village to the north of Sweida city, and that a numbers of terrorists were killed in the clashes, while others fled, and their weapons and munitions were destroyed.
