Havana, SANA – President of Cuba Raul Castro voiced confidence in the ability of the Syrian people and government to find a political solution for the crisis in Syria, one which would preserve the sovereignty and territorial unity of Syria.
In a speech at the Cuban Communist Party congress on Saturday, Castro said that the large numbers of refugees flocking towards Europe are a result of foreign interferences and of the war that was instigated from foreign sides, with the President decrying the double standards employed in dealing with human rights issues.
He also condemned all forms of terrorism in any place in the world, as well as condemning the Israeli occupation of Palestine and other Arab territories which impedes achieving peace in the region.
