Damascus, SANA – Temperatures remain 3 to 6 degrees below average as the country is affected by low air pressure accompanied by relatively cold and wet air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to rainy in most areas as the rainfalls will be heavy and sometimes accompanied by thunder.
The winds will be westerly to southwesterly of light to moderate speed, and the sea waves will be low in amplitude.
The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 18/08, Daraa 18/08, Homs 18/07, Hama 19/08, Hasaka 20/07, Lattakia 19/12, Aleppo 20/09 and Deir Ezzor 21/08.
There were rainfalls in various areas across the country over the past 24 hours, where the heaviest rainfall was recorded in Hasaka 43 mm.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform’s rain bulletin, the amounts of rainfall reached 18 mm in Damascus, 9.5 mm in Hama, 33 mm in Tartous, 17.5 mm in Daraa, 35 mm in Quneitra, 21.2 mm Lattakia, 19.5 mm in Homs and 43mm in Aleppo.
