Algiers, SANA – Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem discussed on Monday with the Algerian Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ramtane Lamamra bilateral relations, the two countries’ united stance against terrorism and the necessity to continue combating terrorism till eliminating it after it has become a plague threatening the region and the world.
Both sides also discussed means of enhancing joint cooperation between the two countries in all fields.
Lamamra held a dinner banquet in honor of Minister al-Moallem and the accompanying delegation, who arrived in Algeria earlier on Monday on a three-day official visit upon an invitation from Lamamra. The dinner was attended by a number of senior Algerian officials.
Earlier on the day, Minister al-Moallem told reporters upon his arrival at Houari Boumediene Airport that Syria and Algeria stand in one trench against terrorism and foreign intervention in the internal affairs of countries, adding that “a number of issues will be discussed during the visit, particularly the situation in Syria.”
