Gatilov: Resolution no. 2254 and Vienna statements must be fully implemented for intra-Syrian dialogue

Geneva, SANA – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov held on Tuesday a number of meetings in Geneva with Head of the Syrian Arab Republic’s delegation to the Syrian-Syrian dialogue Bashar al-Jaafari, representatives of the delegation of the Syrian Secular and Democratic Opposition and China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Office at Geneva Fu Cong.

The meetings focused on issues related to organizing, schedule and content of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue, Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

Gatilov, the statement added, reiterated the necessity to ensure serious representation of all the spectra of the Syrian opposition to the talks.

The need of implementing all the terms of the Security Council’s resolution no. 2254 and the two Vienna statements without exceptions was asserted during the meetings, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.
