Provinces, SANA – The army units, backed by the Air Force, continued operations in various areas across the country, killing more members of terrorist organizations and destroying their equipment and hideouts.
Idleb
The Syrian Air Force launched a series of intensive strikes against the sites of “Jaish al-Fateh” terror organization in Idleb countryside, a military source told SANA.
A number of terrorists’ sites and many of their vehicles, some of which were equipped with machineguns, were destroyed during the strikes in Jarjanaz village and the towns of Ariha and al-Tamaniaa in the southern countryside of Idleb province.
The airstrikes also inflicted heavy losses in ranks and equipment upon Jaish al-Fateh terrorists in Saraqib city and Tal Mardikh village.
A source on the ground confirmed the killing of the terrorist Mohamed AbdelKarim al-Bakri and the injuring of many terrorists affiliated to “Jund al-Aqsa” terrorist group during a special operation by the army which targeted their gatherings in al-Tamania’a town in the province’s southern countryside.
Terrorist organizations acknowledged on their social media pages the killing of Sultan Abu al-Zobair, who was the leader of “al-Khatab Brigade” terror group.
Aleppo
Army restores security and stability to Wadiya village in Deir Hafer
The army’s air force targeted gatherings of ISIS terrorists and destroyed a training camp and an ammunition depot north of al-Bab city, 38 km north east of Aleppo city.
ISIS terrorists suffered heavy losses in personnel and equipment in army airstrikes against their positions and hideouts in the farms of al-Tibeh village and in the villages of al-Seen and Barlahin in the eastern countryside of Aleppo province.
Six of the terrorists’ positions with arms and ammunition inside were destroyed in the airstrikes.
Later, a military source told SANA that Army and Armed Forces units restored security and stability to Wadiya village in Deir Hafer area in the eastern countryside of the province after eliminating the last hotbeds of terrorists in it.
The army’s engineering units canvassed the villages and dismantled the explosive devices and landmines left behind by ISIS terrorists.
Homs
The Syrian Air Force targeted positions and gatherings of ISIS terrorists in Teir Maala in Homs province, destroying bases for Jabhat al-Nusra and other terrorist groups affiliated with it.
The Air Force also targeted terrorists’ movements and concentrations east of al-Bayarat area near Palmyra (Tadmur) in the province’s eastern countryside, inflicting losses in personnel and equipment upon them.
Lattakia
Army restores security and stability to villages of al-Mzira’a, al-Awinat, Roisit al-Malaka and Jabal al-Malka
Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, restored security and stability to the villages of al-Mzira’a, al-Awinat, Roisit al-Malaka and Jabal al-Malka and the point 361 to the northwest of Salam town in the northern countryside of Lattakia.
Army units combed the areas and removed explosive devices which were planted earlier by terrorist organizations before a number of terrorists fell dead and their arms and munitions were destroyed while the rest fled away towards the forestry in the area.
Army units in cooperation with popular defense groups restored security and stability to Salma town on January 12 and to Rabiya town on January 24.
Hama
In the eastern countryside of Hama province, the Syrian Air Force’s airstrikes destroyed ISIS positions in Jub al-Mazaria in Akirbat area, while sorties against sites and gatherings of terrorist organizations in Hor Binafsih town in the southern countryside resulted in inflicting heavy losses upon the terrorists’ ranks and destroying their weaponry and ammunition.
Airstrikes also resulted in destroying sites for Jaish al-Fatah in Kafar Zita town and Atshan village in the northern countryside of province.
Also in Kafar Zita, an army unit carried out a precision operation that resulted in destroying a site belonging to “Kafar Zita Martyrs Brigade” terror group along with 7 terrorists who were inside it, including Mohamed al-Araj, who was one of the terrorists’ leaders, according to sources on the ground.
Daraa
The Syrian Air Force destroyed a weapon and munitions’ depot for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and other terrorist organizations affiliated to it in Daraa countryside.
A military source told SANA that the Air Force carried out concentrated airstrikes against dens of terrorist organizations in al-Soura village to the west of al-Hrak city in Daraa countryside.
Meanwhile, an Army and Armed Forces unit eliminated a gathering for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Busra al-Cham 40 kilometers to the east of Daraa city, and another unit destroyed a position for terrorists in al-Karak in the eastern countryside, killing all terrorists inside it.
In Daraa al-Balad area in Daraa city, army units eliminated gatherings of terrorists and destroyed roadblocks and fortified positions for them in al-Mahatta and in the southwestern side of al-Manshiyeh neighborhood, inflicting heavy losses in arms and personnel upon terrorists.
Deir Ezzor
The army’s air force carried out a series of raids on dens of ISIS in al-Badia and al-Mayadeen, al-Sobh and Abu Hammam in Deir Ezzor eastern countryside.
The raids ended up with the killing of a number of the terrorists and destroying more than 10 vehicles and a training camp.
