Provinces, SANA – Units of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces established full control over al-Sheikh Miskeen town in the northern countryside of Daraa province.
A military source told SANA Tuesday that establishing control over the town came as a result of a wide-scale military operation conducted by the army, in cooperation with the supporting units, by the end of last December in al-Sheikh Miskeen area.
The army inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorist organizations in personnel and equipment, while the other terrorists fled away leaving their weapons and ammunition behind.
The army units killed a number of terrorists and destroyed the terrorist organizations’ last hotbeds and gatherings in the town, according to the source.
The engineering units of the army combed the town and dismantled the landmines and explosive devices planted by the terrorists in the area, the source added.
Earlier Monday, Army and Armed Forces units advanced on all directions in Sheikh Miskeen, inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in ranks and equipment, as well as launched intensive operations against terrorists’ fortified positions and gatherings which led to establishing control over the road between Sheikh Miskeen and Ibta’a and the road leading to Nawa in Daraa countryside.
In the same context, army units targeted two terrorist groups in separate areas in al-Manshiyeh neighborhood in Daraa city, killing a number of their members and injuring others.
Another army unit destroyed a vehicle, killing all terrorists on board and destroying their arms and ammunition, in al-Abbassiyeh neighborhood in Daraa al-Balad in the city.
A number of hideouts and vehicles for terrorist organizations were destroyed in army operations in the southern part of Daraa city.
Army units destroyed a rocket launching pad for terrorists in the area between the towns of Rakhm and al-Karak in the northeastern countryside of Daraa province.
A fortified position for terrorists was destroyed northeast of Bosra square and a terrorist group was targeted south of Abu Sableh building in Daraa al-Mahatta in the city.
Aleppo
The army established control over Ein al-Hanash village in the eastern countryside of Aleppo after eliminating all gatherings of ISIS terrorists there to the last one, according to a field source.
The source explained to SANA that as a result of an intensive operation carried out in the past hours, an army unit was able to restore security to the village, which is located to the south of Katar and Tal Hattabat villages in the eastern countryside of Aleppo.
Military engineering units later combed the village and dismantled landmines and explosive devices left behind by ISIS terrorists.
