Provinces, SANA – The terrorist organizations continue to suffer more losses as the army is advancing and regaining ground in various areas across the country, the latest being in Lattakia countryside.
Lattakia
Army units, in cooperation with the popular defense groups, established control over a number of strategic hills in Rweiset Eskandar, Height 1149 and Height 1143 and Beit Abu Risha village and Kitf al-Saour in the northeastern countryside of Lattakia province, a military source announced on Sunday.
The achievements in those areas were the result of special and intensive operations to deal with the mountainous and wooded areas in that part of Lattakia countryside, the source noted.
A number of terrorists were killed, 3 vehicles equipped with machineguns were destroyed and many weapons and munitions were seized, the source confirmed.
The operations ended up with destroying an armored vehicle equipped with 23mm anti-aircraft cannon and seizing another armored vehicle equipped with heavy machine gun and amounts of weapons and ammunition.
After establishing control over those areas, the army units combed them and found a number of explosive devices planted by the terrorists to prevent the army’s advance.
The explosive devices were dismantled and fleeing terrorists were hunted down.
Aleppo
An army unit destroyed a convoy of 20 vehicles for terrorist organizations on Ritian/Bashkoi axis in the northern countryside of Aleppo province.
Other army units eliminated gatherings of terrorists in the vicinity of Bashkoi and Tal Mseibin towns and in the villages of Sifat Dweir al-Zaitoun and Kafr Hamra.
Positions and fortified centers for Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were hit in the towns and villages of al-Barqoum, Khan Touman, Tal Hiddiyeh and al-Zirbeh in the southern and southwestern countryside of the province.
Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists also suffered losses during army operations in al-Mansoura village in the western countryside and to the western of al-Nairab village in the southeastern countryside.
Army units also destroyed hideouts, gatherings and machinegun- equipped vehicles for ISIS terrorists in the towns and villages of Deir Hafer, Shweilekh, Rasm al-Abd, Sharbaa, Kaskiss and Hmeimiyeh in Aleppo eastern countryside.
In Aleppo city, a number of terrorists’ positions and mortar launchers were destroyed in the neighborhoods of al-Ramouseh, al-Sheikh Saeed, Old Aleppo, Bustan al-Basha, Maisaloun, Bani Zaid, al-Lairamoun and al-Rashedin.
Idleb/Hama
The army’s air force launched sorties against fortified positions and sites for Jabhat al-Nusra and others terrorist organizations in Saraqeb town in the northwestern Idleb province, leaving terrorists dead and destroying their machinegun-equipped vehicles.
Nearly 17 members of “Jabhat al-Nusra” were killed during an army’s operation against terrorists’ dens in al-Tama’a town to the south of Idleb city, according to sources on the ground.
The sources added that at least 20 terrorists were killed during army’s special operations against an ammunition distribution center and terrorists’ hideouts in the northern parts of Maaret al-Numan.
In the neighboring central Hama province, sources on the ground confirmed that a number of terrorists were killed and their vehicle was destroyed an army operation in al-Latamina town.
Nicknamed “the sniper, the terrorist Ahmad Hussein al-Kharouf, who is a Tau missile operator, was identified among the dead.
The sources also said that army units destroyed fortified positions for Jaish al-Fatah within weapons and ammunition inside them in Maarkaba and al-Lahaya villages in the northern countryside of Hama.
Homs
The army’s air force destroyed positions and vehicles for ISIS terrorists in Mhein town to the southeast of Homs city.
The army’s airstrikes also targeted and destroyed ISIS sites and hideouts in al-Shindakhiyeh al-Janoubiyeh in the area surrounding Jib al-Jarrah town to the east of Homs city.
Daraa/Sweida
An army unit destroyed vehicles for terrorists while targeting their gatherings and movements in al-Gizlan farm and al-Ghariyeh al-Sharqiyeh village in northeastern Daraa province.
Another army unit carried out precise operations against terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings in separate areas in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in Daraa city, where weapons and ammunition were destroyed.
In the southeastern countryside of the southern Sweida province, an army unit targeted a vehicle convoy for ISIS terrorists to the east of Tal Shaaf, destroying and damaging a number of the vehicles with terrorists on board.
Damascus Countryside
A military source told SANA that the Syrian Air Force carried out sorties targeting hideouts of ISIS terrorists in al-Qalamoun area in Damascus Countryside, destroying a number of hideouts, fortified sites, and vehicles.
Deir Ezzor
An army unit destroyed a tunnel used by ISIS terrorists in al-Sina’a neighborhood southeast of Deir Ezzor city, a military source told SANA.
The source said that a large amount of weapons and equipment were destroyed along with the tunnel, and all the terrorists hiding inside it were killed.
Another army unit targeted movements of ISIS terrorists in al-Kuruma hill east of Deir Ezzor military airport, killing and injuring a number of them and destroying a 14.5mm heavy machinegun.
