Kremlin denies Saudi USD 300 billion offer to stop supporting President al-Assad

Moscow, SANA – The Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov refuted media allegations claiming that the Russian President discussed a Saudi offer of USD 300 billion in exchange for abandoning President Bashar al-Assad.

Quoted by Sputnik news agency, Peskov denied media reports that Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Saudi Arabia’s defense minister allegedly discussed a buyout of USD 300 billion for Moscow to drop its support for President al-Assad.

“There’s nothing to this, it’s a paper hoax,” Peskov said.
