Abdullahian: Tehran and Moscow see eye to eye on Syria

Tehran, SANA – Iranian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab and African affairs Hussein Amir Abdullahian said Moscow and Tehran are in agreement on Syria.

In a statement to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) upon his arrival in London on Monday, Abdullahian said confronting terrorism in Syria and accomplishing the political track there are issues of interest to Russia and Iran.

The two countries, he added, have since the beginning of the crisis worked on providing support to the government and people of Syria and have stressed on a political solution.

On the recent statements made by the Western officials on Syria, including from Britain, Abdullahian said “there are differences of views, but it seems that the views of the US and the European Union, including Britain, about the developments in the Syrian scene are coming closer to the facts in Syria.”
