Petroleum Minister: Gas station in Adra back online with 4,000 gas cylinders filled per day

Damascus, SANA-  Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Suleiman al-Abbas said the gas station in Adra resumed work with a current capacity of 4,000 gas cylinders per day and is due to reach a capacity of 7,000 per day in a week.

During a field visit to Adra Gas plant, Minister al-Abbas and Governor of Damascus Countryside Province Hussein Makhlouf inspected work in the facility which was sabotaged by armed terrorist groups before the army restored the area late last year.

Minister al-Abbas stressed the Ministry will spare no effort until the facility reaches its full capacity again which is estimated at 60,000 gas cylinders per day.

The plant was the main provider of refilled gas cylinders for the provinces of Damascus, Damascus Countryside and Quneitra. The Petroleum Ministry established a number of mobile filling stations to compensate for the loss of the plant to terrorist groups.
