Makhlouf, Skau discuss means to encrease cooperation and support for Syria

Damascus, SANA- Minister of Local Administration and Environment, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Relief, Hussein Makhlouf, discussed with Deputy Executive Director of the World Food Program (WFP) Carl Skau, and the accompanying delegation, means to enhance joint cooperation, expand and increase the support provided to Syria, especially with regard to projects of improving livelihoods.

Makhlouf pointed out to the importance of rapid response to the growing needs and the implementation of more recovery projects.

Makhlouf stressed the importance of joint cooperation between the Syrian government and the program to raise the level of support and aid in light of the increase in the number of the needy and the challenges posed by the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people by Western countries, in addition to the plundering of natural resources by the US and Turkish occupations.

In turn, Skau expressed his aspiration to expand the scope of the program’s work in Syria, secure the necessary support for those in need, and establish sustainable projects that contribute to improving livelihoods and food.

Skau pointed out that work will be done to overcome the obstacles that impede the rapid response.

The cooperation and facilities that the program receives from the Syrian government during its work in Syria, Skau stated.

He hailed the Syrian Government’s cooperation and facilitations provided to the program during its work in Syria.
