Syria, Iran sign memo of understanding on cooperation in field of medicines

Tehran, SANA- Syria and Iran signed on Tuesday a memo of understanding in the field of health and therapeutic cooperation.

The agreement stipulates enhancing mechanisms of medicine manufacture and lab medicinal censorship. It includes cooperation on exchanging expertise and training technical cadres in different specializations which organize the measures of medicine and guaranteeing their quality.

The memo of understanding also stipulates facilitating procedures relevant to the supplies of medicines through the Iranian credit line to meet Syria’s demands of medicines produced in Iran.

The agreement was signed by Minister of Health Nizar Yajizi on the Syrian side and Health Minister Hassan Hashimi on the Iranian side in the presence of Syria’s Ambassador in Tehran Adnan Mahmoud.

Later, the Syrian Minister visited a number of medicine factories in Iran which produce special vaccines, anti-cancer medicines and others.
