Army establishes control over a village in Daraa, Kills Jabhat al-Nusra leaders

Provinces, SANA- Units of the army and the armed forces on Tuesday continued to tighten the noose around Takfiri terrorists across the country through launching more operations against them in different areas across the country, killing scores of them and repelling their attacks.

Daraa

Army establishes control over a village, kills self-claimed terrorist leaders

An army unit established control over al-Tibbeh village in al-Lajat area in the countryside of the southern province of Daraa, a military source announced on Tuesday.

The operation, which was described by the source as “fast and accurate”, left a large number of terrorists, mostly from Jabhat al-Nusra, dead and their ammo and weapons destroyed.

The army members, the source told SANA, are hunting down the fleeing terrorists in the surroundings of the village and combing the area for explosive devices.

Meanwhile, a number of terrorist groups’ leaders within Jabhat al-Nusra were killed during an army operation that targeted their hideout in the area surrounding Bilal al-Habashi Mosque in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood in the city of Daraa.

Among those were Mohammad Shahada, leader of “Al-Madina Brigades” and Fayez al-Fallouja, nicknamed “Abu al-Ezz”, a senior security official within Jabhat al-Nusra.

The army’s air force launched intensive strikes against a convoy of vehicles for terrorists in Tal al-Mal, leaving all of the vehicles destroyed and many terrorists dead.

A number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed in Aqraba in the northwestern countryside of the province.

In the same context, an army unit targeted gatherings of terrorists and some of others’ dens in Tafas town to the north of Daraa city, killing many of the terrorists, including Saber Safar, a terrorist group’s leader.

More terrorists were killed in Eastern Kark town, while their weapons and ammunition were destroyed.

Sweida

Army destroys ISIS vehicles and mortar launchers

Units of the army and armed forces killed scores of ISIS terrorists in the eastern countryside of the southern Sweida province.

An army unit killed all members of a terrorist group in Tal al-Sahin, 40 km to the southeast of Sweida city.

The military source added that mortar launchers and vehicles belonging to ISIS terrorists were also destroyed in an operation carried out by an army unit against their dens and positions in al-Qasir village in the northeastern countryside.

Quneitra

An army unit killed a number of terrorists, injured others and destroyed their arms and munitions as it targeted their dens in the surroundings of Um al-Izam dam and Nabe’ al-Sakhr village in the southern Quneitra province.

In the meantime, a number of terrorists’ vehicles, some of which equipped with machine guns, were destroyed the terrorists’ movement on the road of Kawm al-Basha village in the southeastern countryside of the province.

Field sources told SANA that another army unit, aided by the popular defense groups, clashed with Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists who attacked al-Baath city from the direction of al-Hurriyeh and al-Samadaniyeh al-Gharbiyeh.

The sources stressed that the attack was foiled completely after a number of the terrorists were killed and their vehicles were destroyed.

Damascus Countryside

More than 70 terrorists killed in Eastern Ghouta

The Syrian Arab Army’s Air Force carried out air strikes on dens of terrorists in Harasta and Irbeen in the Eastern Ghouta area in Damascus Countryside, killing a number of terrorists, injuring others, and destroying their arms and munitions.

Meanwhile, field sources told SANA’s reporter that at least 60 terrorists were killed and their vehicles were destroyed during concentrated strikes against their hideouts to the northeast of Irbeen.

A rocket launcher was destroyed and a number of terrorists were killed in Aaliya farms in the northern outskirts of Douma city and to the north of Madiyara village to the south of Douma, according to military sources.

In Harasta, an army unit continued hunting down Jabhat al-Nusra and “Fajr al-Umma” terrorist s, killed a number of them and destroying one of their hideouts along with three vehicles in al-Ajami neighborhood.

In al-Zabadani, army units continued advancing on al-Mahatta and al-Kubri axis and killed a number of terrorists.

Army forces and the Lebanese Resistance are hunting down the remaining terrorists in small isolated areas in al-Zabadani after establishing full control over some neighborhoods and killing a number of terrorists.

Homs

Army thwarts ISIS terrorist attack in Palmyra countryside

The army units, aided by the air force, confronted armed terrorist groups, affiliated to the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization, while attempting to attack military posts in al-Maqalea area, about 10 km northwest Palmyra city in the countryside of the central province of Homs.

The attack was completely thwarted, scores of terrorists were killed and injured and their vehicles were destroyed with all weapons and ammunition inside them.

Meanwhile, units of the army killed large numbers of ISIS terrorists and destroyed their weaponry in the surrounding of Jazal well to the west of Tadmur, in the surrounding of Jub al-Jarah, al-Nassif farm and Housh al-Zabadi in Homs eastern countryside.

Other army units destroyed dens for terrorists and killed many of them in Tal Dhab in al-Houleh, al-Sa’an and al-Za;afaraneh in Talbeseh in Homs northern countryside.

Hama

Many terrorists, mostly from Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” were killed in army air strikes on their positions in several villages in the northwestern countryside of the central Hama province.

The air strikes targeted the terrorists’ hideouts in the villages of al-Hamidiyeh, al-Ankawi, Bab al-Taqeh and al-Amiqeh near the border with the northwestern Idleb province.

An army unit destroyed a mortar launcher in al-Sermaniyeh village, in addition to killing 14 terrorists and injuring at least 20 others.

More terrorists’ hideouts were destroyed by the army’s air force in al-Latamneh town, 35 km to the north of Hama city.

Idleb

In the countryside of Idleb province, army air strikes were launched against gatherings of terrorists of the so-called “Jaish al-Fateh” and their vehicles in Hamka Hill and the villages of al-Mouzara, Sfouhen, Joseph, Kinsafra, Inneb, Kafr Oweid and al-Ghassaniyeh in the countryside of Jisr al-Shughour.

A number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were also killed in an army air strike that targeted one of their hideouts in Balshoun village, to the southwest of Ariha city.

Meanwhile, field sources told SANA that an army unit destroyed two vehicles equipped with heavy machine guns on the outskirts of al-Qarqour town in Jisr al-Shughour.

In the southeastern countryside of the province, the army’s air force destroyed terrorists’ hideouts in al-Mjas village in Abo al-Duhour.

Aleppo

In the neighboring Aleppo province, the army’s air force carried out air strikes against ISIS terrorists’ positions in the surroundings of the Air Force Academy in the eastern countryside of the northern Aleppo province.

The air strikes left many terrorists dead and their vehicles that were equipped with machine guns destroyed.

More terrorists were killed and their vehicles were destroyed in army air strikes in al-Aziza village in the southern countryside of the province.

Army units targeted Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists’ positions in al-Ansari and Salah Eddin neighborhoods on the southern outskirts of Aleppo city.

Lattakia

An army unit on Tuesday targeted dens of terrorist organizations in Kensabba area in the northern countryside of Lattakia province, killing 8 terrorists including 3 Libyans and a Tunisian nicknamed “Abu Mosab al-Tunisi” who was responsible for recruiting Tunisian terrorists to fight in Syria.

Later in the day, the Army’s Air Force targeted terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations near Beit Zeifa village, in the surroundings of Bradoun dam northeast of Lattakia city, and in the surroundings of the town of Salma, killing a large number of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition.

Deir Ezzor

Dozens of ISIS terrorists were killed or injured and three machine guns belonging to them were destroyed in army air strikes in al-Jneineh area in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor.
